Growing up here in San Diego I was lucky enough to be in a community that offered many opportunities for dance and creative expression. Working with KidzEdition the last 6 years has allowed me to give the same experience to many students at different levels. Having a passion for cheerleading and musical theatre is something I’m proud to share with our students.

My name is Ciana Lewko, and I’ve been passionate about cheerleading since fifth grade. I started with Pop Warner Patriot cheer from 5th to 7th grade, then continued with competitive cheer through my junior year of high school. I also cheered for Patrick Henry High School from sophomore to senior year. Outside of cheer, I’ve worked as a nanny and genuinely love working with kids. I’m so excited to bring my experience, energy, and love for cheer to these teams!

My name is Sydney Young, and I am currently a sophomore in college at San Diego State University, where one of my majors is Dance. I have been dancing for 12 years now, and have competitive training in various styles such as ballet, jazz, musical theatre, and modern. I additionally have had cheer training as well! Growing up, I have always had a passion for teaching and training others in dance and cheer, and I am so grateful and excited to be starting my second year as a teacher at Kidz Edition!

My yoga journey began in 2014, as a new mom of two searching for relief from the physical and emotional challenges of early motherhood. I craved movement that could strengthen my body, support my healing, and bring lasting relief to my knees—after years of playing co-ed soccer and undergoing multiple knee surgeries.

The moment I stepped into my first yoga class, something shifted—and I never looked back. I earned my 200-hour certification in 2015 and have been teaching ever since. What started as a physical practice quickly deepened into a journey of mental clarity and spiritual growth.

Now a proud mom of four, I’m continually inspired by what yoga teaches me about resilience, presence, and possibility. My mission is to help you experience the same: to move, explore, and grow through an intentional, creative practice.

To inspire means to excite, to encourage, to breathe life into. As your teacher, I want your time on the mat to feel magical and deeply authentic—each and every time. I will always hold space for your journey, your expression, and the transformation we experience together.
